Each culture consists of various aspects, which mutually seek and meet each other, and multiply on the theatre scene without borders: the world! Our dance festival – contest is open to everyone; it is an original and unique cultural event in the area of amateur – non-professional dance in the heart of Europe!

Obviously, a theatrical and tourist event such as the New Prague Dance Festival brings some small victims; it is necessary to give up our habits and it is necessary to learn to control our own self – the inner SELF, come to terms with standard different from ours, and be interested in confrontation with new ideas that enable us to grow and develop as artists, dancers, men and women of this big family, which dance is! Therefore, through art we call for friendship, solidarity, respect and mutual recognition.

01/07 Arrival of participants in Prague, accommodation and meeting festival organisers, distribution of the full official programme of the New Prague Dance Festival 2005 to separate groups (schedule and stage rehearsal timetable, programme of separate performances, programme for the day off)

• Distribution of free tickets for accompanying members, parents and friends of schools – groups for all performances
• Check-in **** hotel (until we have rooms), then *** hotel after 11:00 o’clock, at the CMC in the morning.
• Dinner as agreed with organisers of the New Prague Dance Festival 2005

• Stage rehearsals at the Theatre for all participating schools- groups all day long according to the list, opening evening of the New Prague Dance Festival 2005
• After rehearsals – free time, possibility of visiting Prague

• Possibility of additional stage rehearsals at the theatre
• Sightseeing of Prague – we recommend a visit to the Charles Bridge, one of the most representative places of Prague with a possibility of shopping at the famous Old Town, as well as the Prague City Hall, the place of the astronomic clock, a masterwork of Medieval technique and the true symbol of the city, with a show of twelve apostles that comes to life every hour and is admired by tourists cumulated at Old Town Square, the living centre and heart of the capital city
• Evening: Festive „GALA show “ – opening of the New Prague Dance Festival 2005
• approximately 22:00 o’clock dinner at the hotel/CMC

Our organisation also offers you a sightseeing programme focused not only on the capital City of Prague. Upon your arrival you will be provided with all information through your guides who can arrange for a specific visit of your choice: (visit to Karlštějn Castle (Charles IV castle) Vltava River cruise with a dinner, visit to the Prague National Theatre or National Gallery – Arts).

At the end of our meeting, after the prizes are awarded, we would like to invite all participants for a festive dinner in the magical „National House “ at Vinohrady, , or as the last year in the middle of Petřín (so called Petřínské Terasy), with a beautiful view of Prague´s Old Town and the Caste, an elegant gem of the city where all of us, dance art lovers, will make a big promise: another meeting with new choreographies, new dance ideas and namely new friends and lots of joy of dance!

• Sightseeing of Prague – we recommend a visit to the Prague Castle, the seat of President of the Czech Republic (do not miss changing of Castle guards at 12 o’clock), a walk through the Golden Lane, the original place of residence of alchemists serving to Emperor Rudolph II., and a visit to the impressive St. Vitus Cathedral, the spiritual seat of the Czech catholic congregation, a masterwork by Petr Parléř, one of the top artistic and architectonic works of the Gothic period in Central Europe. A walk around the antic Jewish cemetery, Old Prague Synagogue and Jewish community places beloved by the famous writer, Franz Kafka is also worth your attention
• Evening: Final GALA show with awarding of prizes to laureates – winners of the New Prague Dance Festival 2005
• Festive dinner in the „National House “ at Vinohrady or in Petřínské Terasy with the beautiful view of Prague.

THE PRICE INCLUDES:

• Participation in the New Prague Dance Festival 2005
• Workshop – Masterclasses in classical and modern dance under the leading masters of the Dance Department of the Charles University of Prague (HAMU) and the ballet masters of the Prague´s National Theater.
• Accommodation in **** (four star) hotel TOP HOTEL PRAHA (until we have places) or in *** hotel in Prague or in a prestigous university collage CMC International Centre. From the evening of 1.7. to 7.7. 2005 (6 nights)
• Breakfast of 2,3,4,5,6,7. July 2005
• Dinner of 2,3,4,5 . July 2005
• Final GALA evening and festive dinner on 6.July 2005
• Assistance by an authorised person – interpreter (nor professional) upon transportation to theatres, tourist trips and premises of the New Prague Dance Festival (one interpreter pr bus)
• Use of theatres and belonging technical facilities upon stage rehearsals and performances during a period assigned to each participating group
• Transportation of participants around Prague, to theatres and all other places by bus with a Czech driver and a possibility of reaching the city centre (a mini bus from the airport and back)
• Medical assistance during stage rehearsals and performances in the premises of the New Prague Dance Festival.
• Trip to Karlštejn Castle (Charles IV castle) with a cruise on Vltava River and a dinner. Alternative cultural programme can be arranged with organisers at the Prague National Theatre or the National Gallery - Museum
• On your day off: in the morning a workshop with the host country dance masters (artists)
• For all paying accompanying members, parents, friends of schools and groups – free places at theatres for all nights of the New Prague Dance Festival.

ACCOMMODATION

• Accommodation at in **** (four star) hotel TOP HOTEL PRAHA (until we have places) or in *** hotel in Prague or in a prestigous university collage CMC International Centre (until all vacancies are occupied)
• Rooms (hotel or university centre) are 2/3/4/5 -bed rooms, all with individual bathrooms and lavatories
• The price is identical for dancers-students, parents, friends, company, teachers and conductors accompanying schools and organisations i
• Every 20th participant of each school or group gets participation free of charge, participation is also offered free of charge to school or group leader
• Groups of less than 8 participants will be accepted after consultation with the organizators
• For every day of stay exceeding the period of duration of the New Prague Dance Festival 01.07 – 07.07.2005 extra EUR 50 per person shall be charged on top of the price for participants.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

• Personal or collective passport with insurance required by competent authorities, confirmation of dancers health conditions.
• the Czech Republic is a member of the EU, it is necessary to have a valid passport or visa if you are not a member of EU with the collective passport an original identity card or visa issued by the Embassy with a seat in the participant’s country.
