RULES AND COURSE
1. The contest is open to all dance schools, studios and organisations,
while there are supposed to be sections of classic – neo-classic dance, contemporary – modern and jazz dance,
and folk-ethnic dance (classified 1,2,3).
2. The contest includes the following expected special prizes: „Original choreography “,
funky-hip hop, Latino dance, theatrical and dramatic dance, costumes, pedagogy – propaedeutics
(classified 1,2,3).
3. Special award for choreography (classified 1,2,3), dance talent (classified 6).
4. Special prize of the organiser, City of Prague, National Theatre Ballet (1)
- GRISHKO International AWARD – prize of the sponsor of the New Prague Dance Festival
amounting EUR 1.000,- plus several other prizes.
- Finally the crystal cup, traditional hand-crafted New Prague Dance Festival GRAND PRIX
awarded to the best school or group for all-inclusive performance.

5. The order of schools and performances during the evenings of the New Prague Dance Festival
shall be schedules according to the decision by the Jury. Each school will be able to present
more various choreographies during the contest, while altogether each school shall have
20 minutes
for its performances. Musical recordings for separate choreographies must be on
MiniDisc or CompactDisc carriers,
of good quality and the identification must include name of choreography and music, total time, music
and choreography author and the name of school -studio: all the data together with
rooming list of participants
must be supplied to the management of the New Prague Dance Festival by till
15 . May 2005
6. Each school shall have
20 minutes for its rehearsal at the given theatre,
while no exceptions shall be accepted (timetable shall be distributed by authorised staff of
the New Prague Dance Festival after your arrival in Prague).
7. Any instructions regarding light effects and/or audio effects must be agreed
with the dance festival technician before rehearsals, however special effects shall not be accepted.
JURY

1. The jury deciding about awarding prizes shall consist of renowned international representatives
in the area of dance and shall work on the nights specified in the prospectus.
2. No appeal can be filed against any decision by the jury, while if the jury acknowledges so,
some of the prizes may not be awarded at all.
3.
Any disturbance or communication with jury members during contest evenings (3,4,5,6.07.2005)
is punished by exclusion from the contest.
